I should be glad she had someone to look out for her once I’d… gone. But damn it, why did it have to be him?
[He’d originally considered it to be something of a blessing when he’d shown up here. But now? It’s feeling more like some kind of cosmic joke at his expense.]
I’d never seen her so angry before. And I know Silco’s going to be furious once he’s back.
[That mental image brings a welcome touch of levity, and it even draws a genuine, if short, laugh from him.] Sounds about right.
